Access the essential software and files to customize and maintain your Zen 65.
⚠️ Important: If your keyboard is functioning correctly, we do not recommend updating the firmware. Only proceed with firmware updates if you are experiencing specific technical issues or have been advised by support.
The Zen 65 requires specific JSON files to be recognized by VIA. Please download the correct file matching your Model and your current Connection Mode (Wired).
The JSON file:
| Version | Connection Mode | Download Link |
| RGB (Ultra / Lite) | 🔌 Wired Mode | [Wired RGB JSON Link] |
| Non-RGB (Limited Edition) | 🔌 Wired Mode | [Wired Non-RGB JSON Link] |
⚠️ Connection Requirement
You must connect the keyboard in Wired Mode to use VIA.
- VIA cannot detect the keyboard while in 2.4G or BT mode.
- However, any changes made to the keymap or macros in Wired mode are saved to the onboard memory and will function correctly in Wireless mode.
How to Load: Open usevia.app, go to the Settings tab, enable "Show Design Tab," then navigate to the Design tab to load the JSON file.

⚠️ZEN 65 Firmware Update Instructions
1. Check the firmware file
Locate the firmware in .bin format and ensure the file is not set to "Read-only".
2. Prepare the keyboard
Switch the keyboard to wired mode, disconnect the USB cable, and turn the battery switch to OFF.
Note: Firmware updates must be performed in wired mode with the battery turned off. If these conditions are not met, please start over.
3. Enter bootloader mode
Press and hold the ESC key, then plug in the USB cable. Keep holding until a USB drive appears on your computer (usually in the bottom-right system tray).
4. Copy the firmware
Open the detected USB drive and copy the downloaded .bin file into it.
Important: The keyboard will be unresponsive during this process. Please make sure to copy the firmware to the detected USB drive, not your local computer drives.
5. Wait for confirmation
After pasting the file, wait a few seconds. Once the keyboard’s backlight turns on, the firmware installation is complete.
6. Troubleshooting
If the update fails, please verify each step and repeat the process as needed.
- Warning: Do not unplug the cable until the flash progress reaches 100%.
